WorldSpace Adds Indian Radio To MultiChoice Offering In South Africa

[ContentSutra :: Main Page] Hamza Farooqui, Managing Director of WorldSpace South Africa comments, "This exciting initiative is mutually beneficial to both parties, in that DStv subscribers are able to access world class Indian radio content, and we at WorldSpace have the opportunity to provide the same channels in a portable environment."

Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.

Tune in! Two Indian radio channels in Africa:- - World News ...: Jhankaar and KL are available on the WorldSpace platform in Africa, the Middle East and parts of Europe on channel 46 channel 105 respectively, while in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zambia and Malawi, Jhankaar is on channel 74 and KL on channel 75 in the DStv Audio and DStv Indian Audio Bouquets.

Carpe Diem!: One evil breeds another, and the inequity of private tuition not only reflects the inefficiency of the school system, it also helps to reinforce that inefficiency. Perhaps the strongest argument for banning private tuition lies in the recognition that its presence makes the more influential - and richer - parents less concerned about the quality of normal schooling (since they can always arrange extra teaching for their own children with the help of private tutors). If private tuition becomes unavailable, the more powerful families will become more dependent on the schools for the education of their children (as the poorer - and less influential - families already are), and the likely pressure that this may generate on the running of schools may well be critically important for their efficient functioning.
