Bollywood Rumors > The Darjeeling Unlimited: Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson

http://kamlabhatt.wordpress.com [Kamla Bhatt] Owen Wilson and Wes Anderson have worked on many films together. Their first film together was Bottle Rocket, a short film. Perhaps one of their better-known ones is The Royal Tenenbaums. There has been some talk about the O factor…which is, whether Owen is the key to Wes Anderson’s phenonmenon.

Thoughthe Bottle Rocket short is not as engaging or endearing as the feature film, it is still worth watching to understand Anderson's motivations in the longer movie. (via Cosmos)

The arrival of Ellie (the pretty girl about to marry an older business tycoon) sets off a dizzying blend of lustful seductions, wild-eyed social and political pamphleteering, and conversational swashbuckling. [Cinematical.com] Owen Wilson Replies to "Mr. Steely Dan" - Cinematical: Erik reported the other day about the possibly likely tongue-in-cheek open letter (you may recall that a hit man, and payment of Steely Dan merchandise figured prominently in said letter) from Donald Fagen and Walter Becker of Steely Dan, accusing Owen Wilson of ripping off their song, Cousin Dupree, for the plot of his new comedy You, Me and Dupree. Well, Wilson has responded, and I'm thrilled to report that he has a firm grasp of the absurd, not to mention an actual, very possibly intelligent, sense of humor.
