Reliance Infocomm Goes To Anil Ambani
[ContentSutra :: Main Page] What is relevant to us is that Reliance Infocomm, the telecom business of the group, will now be controlled by the younger brother Anil Ambani.
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[Audit Trails of Self] Reliance Industries splits - Brothers At Arms: The Times of India, quoting an unnamed source, reported on Sunday that the stakes in the three companies would be transferred to an Anil Ambani-controlled special purpose vehicle, in which Reliance Industries shareholders would be given shares. The Economic Times said Mukesh would swap his stake in the vehicle for Anil's stake in Reliance Industries, with Mukesh paying 100 billion rupees ($2.3 billion) to settle the balance.
[Rupya.com] Rupya : Blog for Indian Stocks Rupya.com - News, views and ...: Many analysts therefore conclude that even now Reliance is run by Mukesh and Anil Ambani only, and that even if their ownership issues are in the personal domain, they are bound to impact the group's management. This is despite the fact that the division of responsibilities within the group is reasonably well defined with Mukesh Ambani heading the Infocomm business and Anil heading the Energy business.
[Sifybroadband.techwhack.com] Broadband in India » Reliance Broadband :: India Broadband and ...: Reliance Infocomm network is a pan India, high capacity, integrated (wireless and wireline) and convergent (voice, data and video) digital network, designed to offer services that span the entire Infocomm value chain - infrastructure, services for enterprises and individuals, applications and consulting. The network is designed to deliver services that will foster a new way of life for a New India.
[Gigaom.com] Om Maliks Broadband Blog » To Sell or Not To Sell 3G Spectrum: As an aside, one of the big stories in India that is not being covered in the west is the ongoing split between the Ambani family - the owners of Reliance Infocomm. Reliance is going to go to Anil Ambani, one of the brothers who also happens to be a member of the upper house in the Indian parliament.
[Bseshadri.blogspot.com] Nothing Frivolous. Only Serious: Anil or Mukesh? Tehelka-TNS poll: I have lots of worries on the manner in which Reliance Infocomm was created and even the business practices of Infocomm. The sad thing is, institutional investors and the board of directors do not seem to have any worries whatsoever in this regard.
