Broadband in India » Does your Sify Broadband connection ...: I have the shared/unlimited piece of junk package of Sify (and yet, its still the best they can offer) and i go to work at 11am, and let my comp download all day till i come home at9pm, i can see what my average speed was for the day, most of the time 3.5kB/s , i am originally from Holland and if we had that shit there we would crusify these Sify people, but thats not the case now, i am in India , not in Holland

Even if we assume that the services are guaranteed to be good, this Blog on Sify broadband would not have come up in the first place. It merely exposes the double crap talk of these companies in offering broadband when they are offering something marginally better than dial up. Competition would force them to improve or else face the loss of customers.

Mumbai-based Rajan Raheja-run multi system operator (MSO) is expanding its services to two new cities within a month, after rolling it out in Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi. Hathway will launch digital cable TV in Pune on 20 May through an underground fibre linkup from Mumbai. The Motorola DWDM (Dense Wave Division Multiplexers) technology will enable digital television channels to be carried with Internet Protocol (IP) interface.
