According to this news report, in the first four months of 2005 alone, over Rs 150 crore ($33 million) have been pumped into various domestic media companies compared to Rs 113 crore ($25 million) in the entire 2004 (excluding the investment by Independent News & Media, Ireland, whose stake in Jagran was just approved by the ministry).
